Lillian's 5th B-Day!

My niece Lillian loves Belly dancing ( she is in dancing classes of all types)...and we (her mother and I) got the crazy idea of giving as favors Belly Dancing skirts. So I got the idea of doing Disney Princess Jasmine...since she is a princess...and Lillian loves girly stuff and princesses. Party Details: I made a cupcake stand , put a cake on top with figurines, and made chocolate and strawberry cupcakes with a flower on them.CD invitations, popcorn bags with a thank you label, and i made centerpieces of marshmallows . The Castle Centerpieces were hand painted. And of course the favor bags with the belly skirts...and candy.

Baby

It's a boy!... Marcelo!

The new addition to the family . He is beautiful and he has all his little parts.

It is a tradition to give chocolate when a baby is born, in our family, the first wrapper I did was for Daniela 11 years ago. There was no exception with Marcelo's arrival, the wrapper had all his information but were given by his big sister Lillian. I also order chocolate cigars and made labels with the information. There was a tree with lollipops too. My sister in law gave special coin with a Bible verse for the door ( i decorate them with a bag, bow and a little card so they can look cute) and put them in a basket. The wreath, was made by my sister in law ant (I just put a small sign that said "Its a boy").

Family Events

Luis Fernando's Star Wars B-day Party

I'm a little obsess with star wars my self, since i grew up in the 80's , I played with my brothers action figures. I love this theme, when he told me I went completely crazy. Hahaha!. The birthday theme colors were red, grey and black.

You can see my Nephew Luis Fernando (acting all cool with his blue light beem) with his cousin on the main table. I made cupcakes with red and grey frosting , and put pictures of the cast on toothpicks . At the table there were all the cast member standing right besides the cup cakes ( i think you can berly see them) and beside that we put a fruit bar (so people can helped them selves). The tables were decorated with black table cloths and made the center pieces of oreo's with chocolate on a stick. They also had marshmallows with color sugar and a Darth Vader. Each guest had a bag of popcorn, I put a star wars label and put the thank yous and the date. The treat bags had a star wars coloring book and levels with the candy on back (top left). The invitation was a comic book I drew, made a star wars episode, a put all the party information on it. So guest had to read the comic to find out what will happen (this was what the gest love the most, specially the boys).

Weddings

Maribel and Wally's Wedding

I love when the bride and groom send me photos of their wedding. The bride and groom wanted to keep it traditional, but by adding a bold color to the wedding they made it a modern statement. Made the invitation with three types of paper with a envelopment and a ribbon. The programs where similar but more like a book. They had a traditional guest book. And I made them a Wishing Tree pictured at the bottom, they love the idea, so i made the cards of the with the same paper as the programs and invitations and with same ribbon that I use for the invitations. I believe everything should match or carry a theme through out any event.

Jessica and Miguel 's Wedding
The theme of this wedding was " The perfect Blend". The Bride love coffee and wanted to carried it through the wedding. The colors were brown (off course) and cream. I made a guest book with hand made paper and put their wedding logo on the front. The logo was a letter monogram that was use in everything. I made everry thing from the invitations (not shown) to the money box. The money box was a challenge for me I have never done one, she wanted a cake, so i made it of boxes and hand painted and put a bow on it (top right). She also wanted a photo album for the wedding pictures, I use same color but the album was covered with brown vinyl and cream paper for the logo (bottom pictures). The favors, she brought a box and didn't now what to do with it, so i told her to use the same ribbon of invitations and put a card on it. I suggested coffee chocolate and that's what she did, little chocolates that taste like coffee. Crazy thing she went everry where to find them and fanally she found them at walmart.
